Marico gains on reporting 16% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Marico is currently trading at Rs. 561.20, up by 0.65 points or 0.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 560.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 561.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 566.40 and Rs. 560.00 respectively. So far 17053 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 577.25 on 28-Jul-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 462.95 on 20-Apr-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 577.25 and Rs. 531.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 72818.82 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.42%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.26% and 5.32% respectively.

Marico has reported 20.67% fall in its net profit at Rs 307 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2023 as compared to Rs 387 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.91% at Rs 1878 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 2108 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 15.65% rise in net profit at Rs 436 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2023 as compared to Rs 377 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 2.02% at Rs 2523 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 2575 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
