MRF Ltd Q4 net profit down 50.58% at Rs 156.78 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 156.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 317.26 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 50.58 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 9.76 per cent at Rs 5,200.29 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,737.68 crore in the corresponding period last year. During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 17.05 per cent to Rs 4,672.76 crore from Rs 3,992.11 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 14.82 per cent at Rs 64.91 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 56.53 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 29.24 per cent to Rs 527.53 crore as against Rs 745.57 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 35.58 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 11.92 per cent y-o-y to Rs 65.63 crore, while Taxation decreased by 47.27 per cent at Rs 59.78 crore (Mar'21 Rs 113.36 crore).
