Tata Motors expands EV range, launches Nexon EV MAX at Rs 17.74 lakh

Tata Motors on Wednesday expanded its electric vehicle range in the country with the launch of Nexon EV MAX, priced between Rs 17.74-19.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

Equipped with a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Nexon EV Max offers 33 per cent higher battery capacity than the Nexon EV, delivering ARAI certified range of 437 km (under standard testing conditions), ensuring uninterrupted inter-city travel.

Uber to hire 500 techies in India for Bengaluru, Hyderabad centres

Uber Technologies on Wednesday announced it will hire 500 employees for its India tech centres by the end of this year. The app-based mobility and delivery company currently has a 1,000-strong workforce in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Uber added 250 engineers to its India teams in 2021.

 

Novelis to invest $2.5 bn in US in Birla Group's biggest greenfield project

Aditya Birla group's Novelis today announced it will invest $2.5 billion to build a new low-carbon recycling and rolling plant in Bay Minette, Alabama, USA. The highly advanced facility by Hindalco subsidiary will have an initial 600 kilotonnes of finished aluminum goods capacity per year.

 

WeWork takes 660,000 sq ft office space on lease in Noida to expand biz

Coworking major WeWork India has taken 660,000 square feet office space on lease in realty firm Bhutani group's commercial project in Noida as part of its expansion plan to meet rising demand of flexible workspace. "We have given an entire office tower comprising 660,000 square feet, on 15 years lease to WeWork India," Bhutani group CEO Ashish Bhutani told PTI.

 

Netflix to stream ads in TV shows, movies this year amid slow user growth

Battered by slow growth and diminishing global user base, Netflix has fast forwarded its plans to bring ads right into its TV shows and movies. According to The New York Times, the streaming platform has shifted its plans to infuse advertisements into its content by the end of this year.

"Netflix has told employees that ads may come by the end of 2022," the report said late on Tuesday.

 

Delhivery raises Rs 2,346 cr from anchor investors as IPO opens today

Logistics major Delhivery on Tuesday raised Rs 2,346 crore from 64 anchor investors. The Gurugram-based firm allotted nearly 48.2 million shares at Rs 487 apiece, the upper end of its IPO price band. Sources said the anchor book saw nearly 10 times more demand than the shares on offer. Amansa, Goldman Sachs, Aberdeen, Tiger Global, Schroder, and Baillie Gifford were among the anchor investors who got an allotment.

 

Marks & Spencer Reliance India appoints Ritesh Mishra as MD

Retailer Marks & Spencer India on Wednesday said Ritesh Mishra has been appointed as Managing Director for Marks & Spencer Reliance India Pvt Ltd. Mishra, previously Head of Operations and Property, takes over from James Munson who will now assume the role of M&S International Retail Director in the UK, the company said in a statement.
