TCS Partners With Celcom For Large-Scale Digital Transformation

Tata Consultancy Services, a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, is expanding its partnership with Celcom Axiata Berhad (Celcom), a leading telecommunications provider in Malaysia, to transform the latter’s core business support systems (BSS) using TCS HOBS™ and TCS TwinX™ hosted on Microsoft Azure. With the new core platforms transformation project, TCS will enable Celcom to further enhance its digital and platform positioning through advanced digital capabilities like AI/ML-driven business simulations, an enterprise product catalogue, and partner ecosystem enablement.

 

SJVN bags 100 MW solar power project

The state-run company has bagged 100 MW Grid connected Solar PV power project from Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL). SJVN said it bagged the project through tariff based competitive bidding process, on build own and operate (BOO) basis through e-reverse auction at a tariff of Rs 2.69 per unit.The tentative cost of construction of this project is Rs 545 crore. The project is expected to generate 245.28 MU in the first year, while the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be around 5643.52 MU.

 

NCLT approves GAIL buying bankrupt IL&FS' 26% stake in OTPC

The National Company Law Tribunal has approved state-owned gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd's acquisition of bankrupt Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services' 26 per cent stake in ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC), GAIL said on Friday. OTPC is a special purpose vehicle between Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), IL&FS Group and Government of Tripura (GoT) for setting up of a 726.6 MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) thermal power plant at Palatana, Tripura.

 

Bounce eyes $100mn investment in e-scooter mfg, battery swapping infra

Electric scooter rental startup Bounce is making investment of about USD 100 million (around Rs 742 crore) over the next 12 months across manufacturing of e-scooters and expanding the battery swapping infrastructure, its co-founder and CEO Vivekananda Hallekere said. Speaking to PTI, Hallekere said the company will unveil its first e-scooter towards the end of the month and deliveries will start by February next year.

 

JLR expects recovery in semiconductor situation from second half of FY22

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) expects the semiconductor shortage situation to gradually start recovering in the remaining part of the current financial year. The British multinational automotive company in the meantime will continue to take steps to contain the impact of the shortage on its operations across the globe.
