Jubilant FoodWorks consolidated net profit jumps three-fold in Q4

Jubilant FoodWorks, which runs fast-food chains Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts, on Tuesday reported over threefold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 105.30 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 (Q4FY21). Profit growth was led by a low base and momentum in delivery sales. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 32.53 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago. The firm's revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,037.85 crore in Q4, up 14.21 per cent from Rs 908.75 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

 

Dish TV board to consider fundraising of up to Rs 1,000 cr next week

Dish TV Ltd on Tuesday said its board will meet next week to consider raising up to Rs 1,000 crore by issue of permissible securities. The DTH service provider's board had on February 7 this year considered various options for fundraising. It had also granted in-principal approval to explore and initiate the process of fundraising through permissible modes and issue of permissible securities, for an amount up to Rs 1,000 crore, in one or more tranches. Later on February 17, the board constituted a 'Fund Raising Committee' for "recommending, taking actions and monitoring in the matters of raising funds and related matters thereof", Dish TV said in a regulatory filing.

 

LIC Housing Finance net profit down by 5% to Rs 398.92 cr in fourth quarter

Mortgage financier LIC Housing Finance (LIC HFL) on Tuesday reported a 5 per cent decline in its profit after tax at Rs 398.92 crore in the quarter ended in March 2021 due to higher provisioning for bad loans. It had reported a profit after tax of Rs 421.43 crore in the year ago period. For FY2020-21, net profit grew by 14 per cent to Rs 2,734.34 crore as against Rs 2,401.84 crore in the previous year. "We made provision for all the delinquencies in the fourth quarter. So, NPA provisioning was on the higher side which affected the profit during the quarter," LIC HFL Managing Director and CEO Y Viswanatha Gowd said.

 

Whirlpool reports 41% jump in Q4 PAT to Rs 130 cr, revenue up 31%

Consumer appliances major Whirlpool of India today reported a 40.8 per cent jump in its net profit for the January-March quarter. The firm's profit after tax rose to Rs 130 crore from Rs 92.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, it said. Whirlpool's consolidated operating revenue grew 31.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,779.4 crore from Rs 1,353.6 crore. According to the company, its business was robust as all categories and geographies showed continued momentum. However, the resurgence of the Covid crisis and inflationary pressure were observed during the quarter. 

 

Easy Trip Planners posts fourth quarter net profit at Rs 30.46 crore

Online travel company Easy Trip Planners Ltd on Tuesday reported a multi folds increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 30.46 crore for the Marchended quarter. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3.38 crore for the January-March quarter a year ago. Its revenue from operations was up 82.06 per cent to Rs 57.44 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 31.55 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Easy Trip Planners said in a BSE filing. Easy Trip Planners' total expenses were at Rs 27.17 crore, down 22.5 per cent in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2020-21, as against Rs 35.05 crore.
