India`s Axis Bank posts 41% rise in Q1 net profit
India's Axis Bank Ltd reported a 40.5% rise in first-quarter profit on Wednesday, helped by an increase in net interest income and robust growth in loans.
The Mumbai-based private lender reported a net profit of 57.97 billion Indian rupees ($706.98 million) for the quarter ended June 30 compared with 41.25 billion rupees a year ago.
