BankNifty closed at 34952 on positive note with 1.37 % decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. BankNifty Futures closed at a discount of -27 points compared to the previous day premium of 4 points.

FII's were Buyers in Index Futures to the tune of 99 crores and were Sellers in Index Options to the tune of 5295 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 235 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 5154 crores.

India VIX index is at 12.09 v/s 12.84.Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 7.80 whereas Nifty ATM put option IV is quoting at 13.45.
