Dai-ichi Karkaria surges on investing in rebuilding plant destroyed in fire

Dai-Ichi Karkaria is currently trading at Rs. 372.00, up by 4.30 points or 1.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 367.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 367.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 372.95 and Rs. 364.00 respectively. So far 1633 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'XT' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 539.80 on 20-Jan-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 255.00 on 26-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 395.90 and Rs. 356.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 277.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.44% and 35.69% respectively.

Dai-ichi Karkaria has invested in rebuilding the plant destroyed in the fire. The production capacity has been restored and production trials shall commence within the next few weeks. Additional equipment could be added to the new plant to enhance the capacity further.  The plant has been rebuilt utilizing internal accruals and a term loan from its bank.
