Bharti Airtel gains on planning to increase call, data rates across all plans this year

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 747.10, up by 4.15 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 742.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 743.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 750.00 and Rs. 741.20 respectively. So far 43457 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 877.10 on 25-Nov-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 629.05 on 14-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 777.45 and Rs. 738.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 446189.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.83% and 4.04% respectively.

Bharti Airtel is planning to increase mobile phone call and data rates across all plans this year. The company last month increased the price of its minimum recharge or the entry-level for the 28-day mobile phone service plan by about 57 per cent to Rs 155 in eight circles.

The company stopped its minimum recharge plan of Rs 99, under which it offered 200 MB of data and calls at the rate of Rs 2.5 paise per second. While the short-term average revenue per user (ARPU) target of Airtel is Rs 200, it focuses on a medium to long-term ARPU target of Rs 300 through price hikes for sustainable operations.
