The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 56.60 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 60.50 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 6.45 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 7.46 per cent at Rs 830.84 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 773.14 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 6.75 per cent to Rs 723.80 crore from Rs 678.03 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 509.09 per cent at Rs 2.01 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 0.33 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 12.54 per cent to Rs 107.04 crore as against Rs 95.11 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 4.72 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 20.51 per cent y-o-y to Rs 27.91 crore, while Taxation increased by 3500.00 per cent at Rs 11.88 crore (Mar'20 Rs 0.33 crore).
