Ashok Leyland moves up on reporting 58% rise in July sales
Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 154.45, up by 5.40 points or 3.62 % from its previous closing of Rs. 149.05 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 149.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 158.15 and Rs. 149.80 respectively. So far 2254356 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 158.15 on 1-Aug-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 93.20 on 08-Mar-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 158.15 and Rs. 143.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45148.41 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.54%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.84% and 11.62% respectively.
Ashok Leyland has reported 58 per cent rise in its total sales, including exports, at 13625 units in July 2022 over the same month last year. Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales were stood at 5477 units in July 2022. Medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) Trucks and bus sales stood at 6943 units and 1205 units, respectively.
Domestic sales in July 2022 stood at 12715 units. Domestic LCV sales stood at 5386 units in July 2022. Domestic M&HCV Trucks and bus sales stood at 6596 units and 733 units, respectively.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
