Ashok Leyland rises on unveiling new truck in 18.5 tonne segment

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 189.70, up by 2.15 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 187.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 187.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 189.75 and Rs. 187.50 respectively. So far 366681 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 191.45 on 16-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 133.10 on 28-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 189.75 and Rs. 184.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 55492.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.53%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.44% and 11.01% respectively.

Ashok Leyland has unveiled the 1922 4X2 truck in the 18.5 tonne segment with multiple cylinder options and four loading span choices. The haulage truck offers industry-best fluid efficiency, power and range (single fill) in its segment.

The truck is powered by an H-series CNG engine with 162 kW (220 hp) and 700 Nm torque. Key features include single-fill range of 1150+ km, multiple CNG cylinder options (including 1,200L) and four loading span options ranging from 6.1m (20 ft) to 9.75m (32ft).
