“U.S. would love to partner…” Nuclear energy expert hails India’s vision to boost clean energy
On US Nuclear delegation mission to India, Maria Krosnick, president and CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), says, "NEI is working with US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) to host this trade mission. It's really an opportunity for the US commercial industry to understand the Indian government as well as the Indian private sector, their plans for nuclear and what they're interested in now that the Shanti Act has passed." She says, "I think long-term clean energy goals are going to be very dependent on nuclear. The US commercial sector would love to partner with Indian companies, not only to build here in India, but to partner with companies to not only build in India, have them also invest in the US, and maybe together build elsewhere in the world. This is really a long-term strategic relationship that is being built."
