'NTPC has been given a mandate to provide 24x7 power supply to the northeast area' Jagdambika Pal
Acting Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, told ANI, "The mandate of the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a subsidiary of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has been given a mandate to provide 24x7 power supply to the northeast area. We have discussed it in detail today. The members also made some queries about power generation and some other issues related to energy... Right from day one, the Prime Minister has been quite focused on the power sector..."
