Lloyds Metals and Energy rises on reporting many fold jump in Q2 net profit

Lloyds Metals & Energy is currently trading at Rs. 190.55, up by 1.70 points or 0.90% from its previous closing of Rs. 188.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 190.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 195.80 and Rs. 189.00 respectively. So far 55473 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 232.00 on 21-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 71.60 on 21-Dec-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 200.00 and Rs. 177.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8474.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.32% and 25.05% respectively.

Lloyds Metals and Energy has reported many fold jump in its net profit at Rs 142.71 crore for Q2FY23 as compared to Rs 0.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income of the company increased by 532.53% to Rs 686.36 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 108.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. 

Lloyds Metals and Energy is into the business of manufacturing of sponge iron, power generation and mining activities.
