Aster DM Healthcare shines on signing MoU with Government of Tamil Nadu
Aster DM Healthcare is currently trading at Rs. 185.05, up by 4.65 points or 2.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 180.40 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 182.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 186.25 and Rs. 182.30 respectively. So far 5679 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 237.25 on 14-Sep-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.55 on 26-Mar-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 183.25 and Rs. 170.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9011.22 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.40% and 42.71% respectively.
Aster DM Healthcare has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Government of Tamil Nadu, India to set up healthcare facilities in the State. The MoU proposed an investment of Rs 500 crore in hospitals, pharmacies and laboratories in the State. This will help provide quality healthcare at affordable cost to the people of Tamil Nadu and generate employment for more than 3500 people.
Currently, Aster has 14 hospitals, 9 clinics and 66 labs & patient experience centres in India, with an approximate investment of Rs 3000 crore. With 5 hospitals in Kerala including Aster Medcity, the flagship hospital of the group, the investment in Tamil Nadu will further solidify its presence in the South. Apart from Kerala, Aster has healthcare facilities spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.
