Star Health gains on reporting 12% rise in gross direct premium for YTD August

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company is currently trading at Rs. 743.55, up by 5.90 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 737.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 737.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 750.00 and Rs. 737.45 respectively. So far 7744 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 940.00 on 10-Dec-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 469.05 on 01-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 780.00 and Rs. 735.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 42856.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.84%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.82% and 4.34% respectively.

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company reported 12% growth in gross direct premium at Rs 4574.5 crore for YTD August 2022 as against Rs 4089.6 crore for YTD August 2021. Out of the total gross direct premium, Health-Retail premium stood at Rs 4227.3 crore for YTD August 2022 as compared to Rs 3467.8 crore for YTD August 2021.
