Yashvir Singh credits family, Neeraj Chopra after CWG Bronze, eyes Olympic glory
Commonwealth Games bronze medallist javelin thrower Yashvir Singh received a grand welcome on his return home after his medal-winning performance. Speaking to ANI, Yashvir said it was the first major tournament of his career and expressed happiness over the warm reception. He credited his grandfather and father for inspiring him to take up sports and described them as his idols. Yashvir also said Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra remains a major source of motivation for him. Looking ahead, he said competition at future events, including the Olympics, will be tough, but expressed confidence in his ability to succeed.
