As the Lok Sabha elections 2024 nears, PM Narendra Modi arrived in West Bengal for a day-long visit on March 01. During his visit, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in Arambag. However, the Indian PM made headlines for an unusual incident that happened when he was sharing a stage with BJP dignitaries. A young girl holding a painting of ‘Lord Jagannath’ wanted to give it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Soon after PM Modi noticed the girl, he asked his security personnel to bring the painting to him. In a sweet gesture, PM Modi received and acknowledged the ‘Lord Jagannath’ blessings.  Notably, the Prime Minister inaugurated three projects related to wastewater treatment and sewerage in WB. These projects, developed at a cost of about Rs 600 crore have been funded by the World Bank.
