US State Sec Rubio praises Venezuela oil exports, says it`s going to benefit Venezuelan people
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Cuba was “in a lot of trouble” as he praised Venezuela’s oil exports to the U.S., while the Trump administration intensified pressure on Havana following the January military operation that removed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Cuba, a longtime U.S. adversary since Fidel Castro’s 1959 revolution, remains a key target for President Donald Trump, who enjoys strong backing from hardline Cuban-Americans in Florida and has repeatedly signaled his desire for political change on the island.
