United States President Joe Biden dialled Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held a telephonic conversation on August 26. Both the leaders exchanged views on major regional and global issues. US President Joe Biden commended PM Modi for his historic visits to Poland and Ukraine. He praised PM Modi for his message of peace and ongoing humanitarian support for Ukraine, including its energy sector. Both leaders affirmed their continued support for a peaceful resolution of the conflict conforming to the international law. During his conversation with Biden, PM Modi discussed his visit to war-torn Ukraine in detail and his meeting with President Zelenskyy. Leaders also emphasized their continued commitment to work together to contribute to peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. PM Modi also mentioned about the telephonic conversation with President Biden in his tweet on August 26. He also reiterated India’s full support for the early return of peace and stability in Ukraine
