Ahead of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on August 12 attended a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan event at Battala in Agartala. The event, aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in the community, was part of the larger nationwide campaign to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment. The Chief Minister’s participation highlights the state’s commitment to the Swachh Bharat initiative. It also encourages citizens to actively contribute to keeping their surroundings clean as a mark of patriotism and civic duty. The campaign included cleaning of streets, public spaces, and markets in the Battala area, with a special focus on waste segregation and the disposal of plastic waste. The Chief Minister also interacted with the participants, appreciating their contribution to the mission and encouraging them to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
