Tata Power moves up as its JV signs MoU with FSR Global

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 358.45, up by 7.70 points or 2.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 350.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 351.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 361.00 and Rs. 351.65 respectively. So far 147172 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 494.85 on 27-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 326.25 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 361.00 and Rs. 349.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 114648.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.49% and 27.64% respectively.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), a joint venture (JV) between Tata Power and the Government of NCT of Delhi, and FSR Global have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on policy research, innovation in clean energy technologies, and capacity building. The partnership aims to facilitate comprehensive research projects, technical papers, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance industry knowledge and promote best practices in the power sector. 

The partnership is being seen as a significant step towards advancing sustainable energy solutions and regulatory excellence with key focus on the development of smart grid in India. This MoU will not just focus on technological aspects, but will also look at building capacity across utilities in India as well as sharing the Indian experience to other Global South countries. 

FSR Global is an independent regulatory hub of excellence focused on energy transitions in the Global South.
