Tata Motors moves up on reporting marginal rise in total sales in December
Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 752.40, up by 3.15 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 749.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 759.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 765.00 and Rs. 749.50 respectively. So far 413020 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1179.05 on 30-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 718.00 on 23-Dec-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 766.75 and Rs. 730.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 277059.87 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.91% and 20.49% respectively.
Tata Motors has reported a marginal increase in total sales (domestic & international market) at 78,164 units in December 2024 as compared to 77,855 units in the same month last year. Total domestic sales were up 1 per cent at 76,599 units in December 2024 as against 76,138 units in December 2023.
Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including EVs, were at 44,289 units in December 2024 as compared to 43,675 units in the year-ago month, up 1 per cent. Similarly, domestic PV sales, including EVs were up 2 per cent at 44,230 units in December 2024 as against 43,470 units in December 2023. Total commercial vehicles (CV) sales in December 2024 were down 1 per cent at 33,875 units as against 34,180 units in the same period last year.
