Tata Motors declines on reporting 8% fall in total sales in February
Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 616.20, down by 4.35 points or 0.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 620.55 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 621.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 625.35 and Rs. 606.20 respectively. So far 512347 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1179.05 on 30-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 606.20 on 03-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 676.75 and Rs. 606.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 227313.43 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.47% and 21.96% respectively.
Tata Motors has reported 8% decline in total sales (domestic & international market) at 79,344 units in February 2025 as compared to 86,406 units in the same month last year. Total domestic sales were down by 9% at 77,232 units in February 2025 as against 84,834 units in February 2024.
Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including EVs, were at 46,811 units in February 2025 as compared to 51,321 units in the year-ago month, down 9%. Similarly, domestic PV sales, including EVs were down 9% at 46,435 units in February 2025 as against 51,267 units in February 2024. Total commercial vehicles (CV) sales in February 2025 were down by 7% at 32,533 units as against 35,085 units in the same period last year.
