Tata Motors surges on registering 35% jump in total sales in June 2026
Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 435.90, up by 4.65 points or 1.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 431.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 432.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 439.00 and Rs. 432.10 respectively. So far 159844 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 508.95 on 27-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 306.00 on 14-Nov-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 437.70 and Rs. 420.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 159709.55 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.56%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.92% and 20.52% respectively.
Tata Motors has reported total commercial vehicle sales of 40,805 units across domestic and international markets in June 2026, registering a 35% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth compared to 30,238 units sold in June 2025.
The company's domestic commercial vehicle sales increased by 31% to 36,599 units in June 2026 from 27,936 units in the corresponding month last year. Within the domestic segment, HCV Trucks sales rose 31% to 9,645 units in June 2026, while ILMCV Trucks sales grew 27% to 6,186 units in June 2026. Passenger Carriers has recorded a growth of 24% with sales of 7,040 units, and SCV Cargo and Pickup sales has increased 37% to 13,728 units in June 2026. In addition, the company's international business sales stood at 4,206 units in June 2026 as against 2,302 units in June 2025, registering an increase of 83% Y-o-Y.
Besides, the domestic sales of MH&ICV in June 2026, was 16,327 units vs 12,871 units in June 2025 (rise of 27% on Y-o-Y basis). Domestic & International sales of MH&ICV in June 2026, was 18,063 units vs 14,027 units in June 2025 (grew 29% on Y-o-Y basis).
