Surat school girls` unique `Raksha Bandhan` celebration raises awareness on drugs and women`s safety

During ‘Raksha Bandhan’, school girls in Surat have crafted ‘Rakhis’ with powerful messages including “No Drugs” and “Save Doctors” in response to the recent murder of Kolkata doctor. These custom-designed ‘Rakhis’ aim to raise awareness about crucial issues like drug abuse and women’s safety. The initiative reflects broader national concerns, as the students also support ongoing protests related to the medical community. 
Speaking to ANI, a student said, “The decoration and Rakhi that we have made today, our main motive was to support Govt’s ‘no drugs campaign’ and to protest against the rape of Kolkata Doctor. We want to request our brother to not use drugs as this is harmful for both them and the country. Regarding the rape case, I want to request our brothers not to do such things…”
