In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the star cast of ‘Showtime’, including actors Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Shriya Saran, opened up about their roles and the theme of their series, which is set to release on March 8 on Disney Plus Hotstar. According to the actors, the series delves into the dark realities of the entertainment industry. Emraan Hashmi expressed, “Our trailer gives a glimpse of contemporary Bollywood. A lot of revelations will be made regarding our industry in this ‘Showtime’.” Rajeev Khandelwal shared, “I am playing the character of a superstar.... My character shows a side of contemporary stars that we have never seen.” Mahima Makwana stated, “I think this was a very big opportunity for me, and when your script is so strong and this show is based on the Entertainment Industry, the good and the bad, I think that auditioning for this, my biggest task was to make sure that I gave my best.” Shriya Saran added, “All my friends used to ask for gossip since I am an actress, and mostly I don’t have gossip, and even if I have, I forget.”
