Rupee strengthens against US dollar in early trade on Wednesday
The Indian rupee strengthened against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday after a holiday the previous day. The US Dollar was under pressure due to weakness in United States bond yields. Meanwhile, markets widely anticipate that the US Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged at its upcoming policy meeting on October 27-28, 2026. Further, the rupee strengthened, supported by foreign dollar inflows from the Jio Platforms IPO, which opened for public subscription today.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 94.65, stronger by 26 paise from its previous close of 94.91 on Monday. The currency touched a high and low of 94.82 and 94.48 respectively.
