Rupee little changed against US dollar on Thursday
Indian rupee little changed against the US dollar on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rates unchanged at a 22-year high of 5.25% to 5.5%, but said it would hike interest rates one more time this year. Meanwhile, declined crude oil prices also supported rupee sentiments. However, Foreign Institutional Investors were net sellers in the capital market on Wednesday as they offloaded shares worth Rs 3,110.69 crore, exchange data showed.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 83.10, stronger by 1 paise from its previous close of 83.11 on Wednesday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.16 and 83.02 respectively.
