Reliance Industries declines on reporting marginal fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 2716.25, down by 28.95 points or 1.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 2745.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2718.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2744.00 and Rs. 2713.55 respectively. So far 246641 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3217.90 on 08-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2221.05 on 26-Oct-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2802.70 and Rs. 2711.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1843520.17 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.33%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.24% and 10.43% respectively.

Reliance Industries has reported 31.18% fall in its net profit at Rs 7,713 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 11,208 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 3.86% at Rs 1,37,855 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 1,43,384 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 3.63% fall in net profit at Rs 19,101 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 19,820 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 0.65% at Rs 2,40,357 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 2,38,797 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
