“The extension of period of incorporation for startups by 5 years is a positive as it provides startups significantly more time for continuity in availment of government benefits. Category I AIFs (Angel Funds) can only invest in “Startups”. Hence, this new regulation is a positive for such AIFs as it gives them the ability to continue funding their investee companies for a longer period of time”,
