"FIIs including endowment funds, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds have been investing in Indian equities for many years now. India has been the best performing emerging equity market during the last ten to twenty years and there is no other emerging market which provides as much diversity and growth prospects like India. Therefore foreign funds like CPPIB will continue to invest and remain invested in India unless the diplomatic relations between the two countries totally break down and the governments of the two countries take drastic steps. This appears unlikely now."
