The benchmark indices witnessed range bound movement. Nifty closed 33 points higher, while Sensex was up 143 points. Across sectors, pharma and healthcare indices gained nearly 1 per cent, while the capital markets index declined the most, shedding over 2 per cent. Technically, after a gap-up open, the market witnessed range bound movement throughout the day. On the daily chart, it has formed a small candle, indicating indecision between the bulls and bears.

We believe the broader market trend is upside, but for day traders, buying on intraday corrections and selling on upswings would be the ideal strategy. On the downside, 25,000/81700 and 24,950/81500 would act as key support zones, while 25,150/82300 and 25,250/82500 could be crucial resistance levels for the bulls. However, below 24,850/81200, the sentiment may change. If the index falls below this level, traders may prefer to exit long positions.

The recommended strategy is to buy between 25000 and 24950, with a final stop loss set at 24850.

For the Bank Nifty has formed inside body formation. Above 56000, we could see upward activity towards 56200/56500. Below 55500, expect weakness towards 55350/55000.
