Pune Ganesh Pandals unite to strengthen cultural ties with Ganeshotsav celebration in J&K
In a heart-warming display of cultural exchange, 7 prominent Ganesh Mandals from Pune have come together to celebrate Ganeshotsav in Jammu and Kashmir. This marks the second consecutive year that the festival is being observed in the region, with celebrations expanding to two new locations this year: Anantnag and Kupwara. The participating Ganesh Mandals, including Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshibaug Ganpati, Kesariwada Ganpati Mandal, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, and Akhil Mandai Mandal, handed over replicas of their revered Ganpati idols to a group of Kashmiri Pandits who travelled to Pune on Saturday. These idols will be installed in Kashmir during Ganeshotsav, symbolizing the spirit of unity and cultural harmony. This initiative underscores the strength of cultural exchange and unity, transcending geographical boundaries. As Punit Balan stated, "Ganeshotsav in Kashmir highlights that, after the abrogation of Article 370, peace has returned to the region, along with its culture and traditions."A grand event was organized by the Mandals to hand over the Ganesh idols, during which the Kashmiri visitors were also honoured.
