Below the Perspective on Markets 29th July 2025 by Mr. Vikram Kasat, Head - Advisory, PL Capital
“US indices ended mixed, optimism on EU tariff deal failed to ignite rally as focus shifted to earnings and FED meet outcome. Dow closed 0.14% lower, S&P after hitting fresh life highs ended just above the flat line and Nasdaq closed 0.33% higher, at fresh record highs.
USD index traded sharply higher near 98.66, 10 year yields also moved higher near 4.41% and cboe vix closed above 15.
Crude futures gained almost 2.50%
Mixed Wall Street cues, countdown to August 1st tariff deadline and Fed meet, FPI outflows may continue to dominate trade setup on Dalal Street. Participants may gradually build positions over next few days as fresh series post July expiry may prove to be rewarding as large part of FED meet and tariff uncertainty may get over by the end of the week.”
