Nifty opened on a positive note and snapped the three-day losing streak to close with gains. Broadly the Nifty bounced back from the lower end (23800) of the trading range (23800 - 24200), and we expect the positive momentum to continue over the next few trading sessions. The immediate hurdle is the 24100 - 24200 zone. Stock specific action and sector rotation are likely to continue until the Nifty trades within a range. FMCG , Realty sectors were the top gaining sectors for the day and we expect the momentum to continue in these sectors.

For the Sensex Weekly expiry, Put writing was witnessed in the 76000 and 76500 strikes implying support. The 78000 CE strike saw an addition in open interest implying resistance. Put Call Ratio increased from 0.72 to 1.25 suggesting bullish sentiment. Thus, intraday dips toward the support zone should be used as a buying opportunity.
