Perspective On CPI data By Mr. Nish Bhatt, Millwood Kane International
Below the Perspective on CPI data By Mr. Nish Bhatt, Founder & CEO, of Millwood Kane International
“India's retail inflation eased in October, as CPI based inflation stood at 4.87% in October, as compared with 5.02% in September, which is within the central bank's target range of 4 (+/- 2)% for the second straight month. Though food inflation still continues to remain at the same level while vegetable prices have seen an increase primarily due to the rise in onion prices
Going forward the impact of the El Nino phenomenon, geopolitical risk, upcoming kharif crop and the food output needs to be monitored for any policy stance.”
