Optiemus Infracom zooms on foraying into Unmanned Systems

Optiemus Infracom is currently trading at Rs. 308.75, up by 23.80 points or 8.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 284.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 290.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 318.65 and Rs. 290.05 respectively. So far 56256 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 381.20 on 04-Sep-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 160.45 on 27-Apr-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 318.65 and Rs. 268.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2661.57 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.06% and 25.04% respectively.
Optiemus Infracom (Optiemus) has forayed into Unmanned Systems with the launch of technologically-sophisticated, high-precision drones that have been designed to get manufactured in India. The diverse ranges of drones have been showcased at the India Mobile Congress 2023. The products showcased by Optiemus carry cutting-edge technology, including advanced sensors, secure communication systems, and stringent safety protocols.
The company will be investing Rs 25 crore in Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS) - a new division of the company. The company will be at the forefront of research, development, and manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as OUS will drive synergies from the manufacturing excellence of Optiemus Electronics Limited and go to market capabilities of Optiemus to deliver first-of-its-kind drones in India.
OUS will build on its experience and expertise in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art drones, that would cater to a wide range of applications, including Defence, Healthcare, Agriculture, Logistics, Mining, Railways, and Oil & Gas. Application areas for drones will also encompass Asset Management, Disaster Management, Delivery, Mapping & Survey, and Precision Agriculture.
