ONGC declines on reporting 8% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 258.90, down by 8.05 points or 3.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 266.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 262.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 266.50 and Rs. 257.00 respectively. So far 496003 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 275.65 on 08-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 144.80 on 10-Feb-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 275.65 and Rs. 255.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 324445.40 crore.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has reported 13.66% fall in its net profit at Rs 9535.67 crore for Q3FY24 as compared to Rs 11044.73 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 4.52% at Rs 38188.76 crore for Q3FY24 as compared Rs 39994.63 crore for corresponding quarter of the previous year. 

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 7.86% fall in net profit at Rs 10748.46 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2023 as compared to Rs 11665.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 0.83% at Rs 169628.12 crore for Q3FY24 as compared Rs 171045.00 crore for corresponding quarter of the previous year.
