NTPC Green Energy trades higher as its arm signs MoU with Government of Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy is currently trading at Rs. 99.23, up by 1.08 points or 1.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 98.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 100.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 100.90 and Rs. 99.01 respectively. So far 294286 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.30 on 04-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 84.60 on 03-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 100.90 and Rs. 97.32 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 83589.19 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 89.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.49% and 4.49% respectively.
NTPC Green Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary -- NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Govt of Gujarat for development of Solar Parks and Projects with a cumulative capacity of 10 GW and Wind Projects of 5 GW in the state.
Earlier, the company had signed a MoU with V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) on September 05, 2025, in Tuticorin, Tamilnadu.
NTPC Green Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, a ‘Maharatna’ central public sector enterprise. The company is mainly engaged in the activity of developing, building, owning, operating and maintaining utility scale grid connected solar and wind power projects (through O&M operations and in-house engineering).
