Nifty opened with an upward gap and remained in positive terrain throughout the day. Nifty closed at 23345 with a gain of 142 points. Onthedaily chart the index has formed a strong Bullish candle carrying long lower shadow indicating buying support at lower levels. Thechart patternsuggests that if Nifty crosses and sustains above 23400 level it would witness buying which would lead the index towards 23450-23500levels.Important Supports for the day is around 23170 However if index sustains below 23170 then it may witness profit booking whichwouldtakethe index towards 23100-23000 levels.
