Nestle`s India business beats view on price hikes, strong domestic demand
Nestle India reported quarterly earnings above estimates on Thursday, aided by a rise in demand for its chocolates and Maggi instant noodles.
Profit increased to 9.08 billion rupees ($109.06 million) for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 from 6.61 billion rupees a year earlier, the Indian arm of Swiss chocolatier Nestle SA said in an exchange filing.
Analysts, on average, were expecting 8.14 billion rupees, according to LSEG data.
