Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders moves up on inking contract worth Rs 310 crore

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders is currently trading at Rs. 2172.85, up by 18.20 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 2154.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2180.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2230.60 and Rs. 2162.75 respectively. So far 75625 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2483.00 on 08-Sep-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 612.80 on 27-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2230.60 and Rs. 2119.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43867.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 84.83%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.07% and 11.10% respectively.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has signed a contract with Acquisition wing of Ministry of Defence for Construction and Delivery of One Training Ship for Indian Coast Guard (ICG) at a cost of Rs 310 crore on October 17, 2023.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders is the India's leading defence public sector undertaking shipyard under the Ministry of Defence. It is primarily engaged in constructing and repairing warships and submarines for the MoD and other types of vessels i.e. cargo ships, multipurpose support vessels, barges and border outposts, tugs, dredgers, water tankers, etc. for commercial clients.
