Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis congratulates Ujjwal Nikam on Rajya Sabha nomination

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on July 13 thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu for nominating eminent public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to the Rajya Sabha. He also congratulated Ujjwal Nikam for his journey from the courts to Parliament.
“I thank PM Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu for nominating a personality like Ujjwal Nikam to the Rajya Sabha. We all know that he has extensively worked as a public prosecutor against terrorism and in national security cases. PM Narendra Modi always stands behind nationalists. I congratulate Ujjwal Nikam for his journey from the courts to Parliament...,” said Devendra Fadnavis.
“Urban Naxalism has been very thoughtfully promoted over the last few years. When they realised their forest-dwelling cadres were coming to an end, they strategically planted their urban cadre in universities and other institutions, to give rise to anarchy. This is a very strategic move by the Naxals. The cadre with weapons is clearly identifiable but the urban Naxals cannot be identified and is slowly damaging our system. We have brought the Public Security Bill to be able to strictly deal with these elements...,” he added.
