Lloyds Metals and Energy falls despite reporting 62% rise in Q2 net profit

Lloyds Metals & Energy is currently trading at Rs. 514.30, down by 2.75 points or 0.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 517.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 519.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 523.70 and Rs. 513.00 respectively. So far 32163 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 687.85 on 09-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 163.15 on 30-Nov-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 574.40 and Rs. 502.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 26124.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.75%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.27% and 33.97% respectively. 

Lloyds Metals and Energy has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2023 (Q2FY24). 

The company has reported 62.05% rise in its net profit at Rs 231.26 crore for Q2FY24 as compared to Rs 142.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 61.90% at Rs 1,111.23 crore for Q2FY24 as compared Rs 686.36 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Lloyds Metals and Energy is into the business of manufacturing of sponge iron, power generation and mining activities.
