Land acquisition complete construction to take 2 years`ISRO Chief updates on 2nd spaceport launch complex

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 28 laid the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure projects worth over Rs 17,300 crores in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. He also laid the foundation stone for ISRO’s second spaceport launch complex. Sharing details of the spaceport launch complex, ISRO Chief said the land acquisition has been completed and construction will soon start and will take two years.  He said, “land acquisition has been completed, Tamil Nadu govt has transferred the land to us. Construction is about to start, it will take about 2 years for the construction to be completed. We have a plan to launch SSLV after two years.”
