JSW Energy gains on adding 159 MW of wind power capacity

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs. 480.50, up by 7.20 points or 1.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 473.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 470.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 482.50 and Rs. 466.75 respectively. So far 135428 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 804.95 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 419.10 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 482.50 and Rs. 442.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 83464.68 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.60% and 6.08% respectively.

JSW Energy has added 159 MW of greenfield wind power capacity in the quarter so far, resulting in total operational capacity of 8,400 MW. This added capacity is available ahead of the wind season and is ready to meet the increased energy demand during the upcoming peak demand season, thereby contributing significantly to a sustainable power supply.

Subsequent to this capacity addition, the total operational wind capacity of the company stands at 2,826 MW. The company has been actively expanding its renewable energy portfolio with under-construction capacity of around 8.0 GW. The company aims to achieve a total installed generation capacity of 20 GW significantly before FY2030.
