In the heart of the Pir Panjal mountain range, Topi Pir, a once remote and underdeveloped village in Poonch, is undergoing a significant transformation into a model village, thanks to the efforts of the Indian Army. The village, adopted by the Army under Operation Sadbhavana, is witnessing rapid development, much to the delight of its residents. For the first time since independence, a 3-kilometer road is being constructed from Kholian Wali Galli to Topi Pir, linking the village to the Thanna Mandi-Bufliaz Road. The road construction, which is being carried out on a war footing, is expected to be completed soon, providing the villagers with improved access to nearby towns and facilitating easier travel day and night. In addition to the road, the local school has been upgraded, with fresh paint adorning the building and new desks provided for the students. Solar street lights have been installed throughout the village, making nighttime commuting safer and more convenient. The village's health centre has also been equipped with new beds and necessary medical equipment, further enhancing the quality of life for the residents. The villagers have expressed their deep gratitude to the Indian Army for its efforts in transforming Topi Pir into a model village. The new facilities, particularly the road, are expected to greatly improve the village's connectivity and contribute to its overall development. The construction of the black-topped road connecting Topi Pir to the Deera Ki Gali-Bafliaz Road, which leads to the historic Mughal Road, is seen as a key development that will open up new opportunities for the region.
