Indian Hotels Company inches up on signing Taj hotel in Sri Lanka
The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 703.15, up by 0.85 points or 0.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 702.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 708.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 708.85 and Rs. 701.00 respectively. So far 1557 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 858.85 on 25-Mar-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 626.65 on 01-Feb-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 708.85 and Rs. 676.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 100245.21 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.87% and 16.02% respectively.
Indian Hotels Company has signed a Taj hotel in Weligama, Sri Lanka. The greenfield project will feature 220 keys including 80 luxury apartments. Located in the Southern Province of the country, the 220 key Taj Weligama is a beachfront resort with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. Guests can enjoy dining at the all day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, beach bar and grill, bar and lounge, or deli. The resort features Taj’s iconic J Wellness Circle offering holistic remedies, a kids’ play room, an entertainment zone, a state of the art gym and a swimming pool. For events and social gatherings, the hotel boasts a banquet hall and convention facilities spanning over 9,000 square feet, along with meeting rooms and exclusive lawns.
